Move4Nature hackthon took place in Romania

A Hackathon event was organized in order to exchange knowledge and experience, and to present desk research review and the collected best practices. The hosting organisation was AJSPT Suceava from Romania. The target group was sport staff and volunteers, working in grassroots sport. The HACKATHON event of the Erasmus+ project Move4Nature brought together 17 members or presidents of sporting associations belonging to various partner school units on Friday. As part of the activities, information about the project, its development stages, the objectives they wish to achieve were presented. Also in the workshops s. They discussed topics related to ways of working with children and the challenges of teaching, aspects related to sports and ecology, mandatory steps in preparing a mountain sports event involving students, educational elements on waste management that can result as a result of mountain sports activities or managing specific hiking materials and equipment.

Participants: 17, of which 12 women and 5 men. They are representatives of private sports clubs, school sports associations, secondary or high school educational
institutions.

The agenda of the hackathon:
– Presentation of the participants;
– Presentation of the Move4Nature project, purpose, objectives, partners, activities carried out so far;
– Presentation of the project handbook;
– Presentation of the Educational Toolkit and the benefits of its application within
the organizations that the guests represent;
– Presentation of Good practices with an emphasis on one of the examples related to our geographical area, starting from the mountain area of our region: Via Transilvanica;
– Practical elements about the organization of outdoor activities: planning the activity, selecting the participants, appropriate equipment for each participant, adapted to the weather and requesting the terrain on which the activity will be carried out, rehydration, food. Practical first aid tips. Viewing some equipment for mountain activities and how to use them: backpack (L volume capacity, pockets, back arrangement mode, balancing), trekking poles, trekking shoes;
– Tips for organizing outdoor events combined with trekking and ecology.
– Planning, logistics, contacts with recycling and waste collection organizations or local communities;
– Hackathon delivery of brainstorming in small groups.
