Move4Nature Mountain Adventure with the MOZAIC Summer School
The 2025 edition of the MOZAIC Summer School came to a memorable close at Petru Comarnescu Secondary School in Gura Humorului, with an inspiring mountain hike that seamlessly blended education and nature. This special event was part of the Erasmus+ Move4Nature
Throughout the week, middle school students engaged in a variety of educational activities set in a non-formal learning environment. The program encouraged exploration, teamwork, and a deepened awareness of environmental responsibility.
A highlight of the summer school was the mountain expedition organized under the Move4Nature project. Students had the chance to immerse themselves in the beautiful natural landscape surrounding Gura Humorului. They learned to identify local flora, navigate hiking trails using marked signs, pace themselves during the climb and descent, support their peers, equip themselves appropriately for mountain activities, and—most importantly—respect and preserve the natural environment by leaving no trace behind.
These enriching experiences were made possible thanks to the guidance and dedication of the school’s teaching staff, who also served as trainers and mentors throughout the week.
