On 6–7 June 2025, the Lithuanian seaside city of Klaipėda hosted a Move4Nature multiplier event, timed strategically to coincide with the country’s Olympic Day celebrations. The location was selected to maximize public visibility and attract a broader audience interested in sport, health, and environmental sustainability.
The event was organized in collaboration with Širvintų Sporto Centras, which played a key logistical role by providing a minibus for the transport of participants from Širvintos to Klaipėda and back. This support enabled a group of local youth and trainers to take part in the two-day event and contribute actively to the promotion of the Move4Nature mission.
A total of 40 participants were directly involved in the programme, which included hiking and clean-up action promotion, outdoor warm-up sessions, and interactive presentations on how to lead environmentally responsible activities in local communities. The event also served as a platform to share project results, inspire new green initiatives, and prepare the participants to act as multipliers by bringing Move4Nature practices back to their schools, clubs, and hometowns.
The multiplier event was widely promoted through Širvintų Sporto Klubas’ Instagram @sirvintusportoklubas and the Širvintų Sporto Centras Facebook page Facebook post, with additional reach through resharing by the Municipality of Širvintos. This ensured excellent visibility both locally and nationally, strengthening the dissemination of the Move4Nature message and encouraging future participation in clean-up hikes and sustainability-focused sport events.
The success of this event in Klaipėda confirms the value of combining physical activity, environmental education, and public celebration to engage young people and the broader community in meaningful change.
